Rainwater Harvesting

Rainwater harvesting is the process of utilizing naturally occuring rainwater to reduce the amount of potable water required by your household. Rainwater harvesting can be achieved in a number of ways - from simple procedures of collecting rainwater through watering cans and rain barrels for use in your garden to installation of systems that can supplant much of your current indoor potable water needs.

The District has information available on Rainwater harvesting at our offices, including brochures and low-cost books available for purchase.

In April 2008 the District co-sponsored a rainwater harvesting seminar. To view a video of that seminar, click here: Rainwater Harvesting
