A large fire at MSD on Riverside Drive is reducing water flow and pressure for many customers in the Woodfin area due to firefighting efforts. This site will be updated as more information is available.
There will be a planned water outage between 7 PM and 11 PM on Thursday, October 15, 2020 for customers off of New Stock Road. This outage will be to install system improvements and is expected to last approximately 4 hours from 7 PM until 11 PM. Some customers in the area may not notice the effects of the outage but all customers should be prepared for loss of pressure and/or flow during this time. Affected streets include Fox Chase, Briarwood, Fern Glade, Woody Lane, Periwinkle Lane, Hillcreek Drive, Brody Trail, Josie Lane, Tiffany Lane, Squirrel Hill, Pinebrook Farms, and surrounding streets. Following the completion of work customers may notice air in their water lines or discolored water and should let water run clear before using it for drinking, cooking or washing white laundry.
UPDATE, 11 PM, 10/15/20: Due to difficult circumstances the outage time frame has been extended to 1 AM. This site will be updated if more information is available before that time.
The planned outage for Green Oak Road is complete and water is restored for all customers.
Due to a car accident that damaged the nearby pole, the District has no phone service. General questions should be emailed to frontdesk@woodfinwater.com; emergencies can be handled through our after hours emergency service.
Water has been restored on Erwin Hills Road.
District crews are repairing a water line break on Old Leicester Highway. Customers in that area may experience loss of water pressure while repairs are made. This site will be updated as more information is available.
The water outage on Countryside Drive has been repaired. Customers in the West Buncombe area may notice some air in lines or discolored water and should let water run clear before washing white laundry or drinking/cooking.
The District is repairing a water main break in Creekside Drive. Not all customer on Creekside will be affected but some may notice loss of pressure and or flow. Estimated restoration of service is 12 PM.
Water is being restored at this time from the water main break repair on Mt. Carmel. Customers may notice air or discolored water in their lines and should let water run clear before using for washing white laundry, drinking or cooking.
There will be a planned outage for the West Buncombe area on Thursday, June 10, from 9 AM to 3 PM, to perform system repairs. Customers on Mt. Carmel Road and Sunset Drive may notice complete loss of flow and/or pressure. All other customers may notice fluctuations in pressure and/or flow as repairs are being made. Streets affected include all customers west of the French Broad River. This site will be updated when repairs are complete.
