Water outages, Jan 3, 2018, 3:45 PM

Due to the record cold, the District has experienced water line breaks in several areas. Customers in the Riverwalk/Penley Avenue/Sixth Avenue area may notice loss of pressure and/or flow as a break is repaired on Sixth Avenue. Customers in other areas of the District may experience low pressure as this break is addressed. Customers in the original Town of Woodfin area are requested to refrain from calling the office at this time to report low pressure, as these breaks are addressed. This site will be updated as more information is available. 

December 12, 2017: water outage, Weaverville Hwy

The water outage on Weaverville Highway has been resolved.

Monday, Nov. 13 – telephone outage

The internet outage at District offices has been resolved and phones are now operational.

District offices closed for Veteran’s Day

District offices will be closed Friday, November 10th in observance of Veteran’s Day. All District functions are available online, including applying for and stopping service, reporting a leak, and bill payment options. If you have an emergency please call our office at 828-253-5551 and you will be connected to our after-hours answering service. Please note that our answering service has no information on billing or other non-emergency questions.

Thursday, Oct 19 – Water interruption, Weaverville Road

The water interruption on Weaverville Road has been resolved. 

Planned water outage for Reems Creek: 2 PM, July 31, 2017

The planned water outage for the Reems Creek area has concluded. All homes should have water restored at this time. 

July 26, 2017 – water outage, Reems Creek

The District is repairing a leak in the Reems Creek area. Some customers may notice loss of flow or pressure at this time. 

Feb. 13, 2017 – Reems Creek Water Interruption

The water interruption in the Reems Creek area has been completed and all water service has been restored. Customers with discolored water or air in their water lines should allow the water to run for a few minutes in order to clear lines.

Jan 12, 2017, 5 PM – Water outage, Lookout Road

District crews are currently repairing a water main break on Lookout Road. Service will be interrupted for all customers on Lookout Road and connecting roads, including Apple Lane, Garden Road, Company Street, Ravine Road, Chestnut Ridge Road, and other connecting streets. Service restore estimated time is 6:30 PM. Customers may notice discolored water or air in lines and may want to flush lines before doing white laundry. This site will be updated as more information is available. 

Jan. 10, 2017 – Water outage, West Buncombe

The water outage in West Buncombe has been repaired and all service has been restored.
