Thanksgiving hours

District offices will be closed Thursday & Friday, Nov. 24-25, 2022 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Virtually all District requests can be handled online, from making a payment to submitting a leak adjustment request. Emergency requests for a water line leak or break can be addressed by calling our office at (828) 253-5551 to reach our after-hours dispatch service. Please note that our dispatch service cannot answer questions about billing or other non-emergency issues. 

Wednesday, Aug 10, 2022 – phone issues

The District is currently experiencing intermittent office telephone operation interruptions. Customers may e-mail us online with inquiries or issues that they are not able to resolve with our automated telephone system. 

Independence Day – Monday, July 4, 2022

District offices will be closed Monday, July 4, 2022 in observance of Independence Day. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, July 5 at 8:30 AM. Emergencies can be handled by calling our 24-hour line at (828) 253-5551. 

April 15, 2022 – Good Friday

District offices will be closed on Friday, April 15, 2022 in observance of Good Friday. We will reopen at 8:30 on Monday, April 18th. Emergencies can be handled by calling (828) 253-5551. 

Offices closed for MLK, Jr. Day – Jan. 17, 2022

District offices will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, on Monday, January 17th, 2022. Customers with an emergency such as a water line break may call our office at 828-253-5551 to reach our 24-hour emergency dispatch service. 

District holiday hours

District offices will be closed Thursday & Friday, December 23 & 24, and Monday, December 27th in observance of the Christmas holiday. Offices will also be closed Friday, December 31, 2021, in observance of New Year’s Day. 24 hour emergency service for leaks or breaks can be reached during holidays by calling our office at 828-253-5551 and selecting the option for emergency service. Virtually all other requests are available and handled on our website.

District offices will be closed on Thursday, November 11th in observance of Veteran’s Day. For emergencies such as a water line leak or break call our main office at (828) 253-5551 to reach our after-hours emergency service. Please note that our after-hours service cannot answer billing or other questions and can only dispatch emergency service. 

August 18, 2021 – Masks required

Effective Wednesday, August 18, 2021 by order of the Buncombe County Commission, masks are required to be worn for all visitors to District offices. This order is in effect until September 30, 2021 or until altered or rescinded by the Commission.
