Boil water advisory - Friday, November 8, 2019

There will be a boil water for customers in West Buncombe and New Stock Road this weekend. The City of Asheville is performing main line work the evening of Friday, November 8 through Saturday morning, November 9, 2019. District customers in West Buncombe and New Stock Road receive some or all water purchased from the City and are thus affected. Customers should boil water for one minute beginning Friday evening after 11 PM before drinking or cooking, until this notice is lifted. Water is considered safe but boiling for consumption is a necessary precaution. Customers should not purposely drink or cook with water without boiling during the advisory but should not panic if water is inadvertently swallowed by brushing teeth or taking a shower, as a chlorine residual is maintained in the water at all times. This site will be updated when Asheville's boil water notice is lifted.
