April 30, 2013: The sewage spill that occurred at MSD earlier today into the French Broad River has no effect on Woodfin Water District customers. The District's water source is at the headwaters of Reems Creek, near the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the District owns the entire watershed. The raw water source is pristine and often meets turbidity standards before it is filtered. MSD's discharge location on the French Broad River has no effect on the District's water supply.
