There will be a planned water outage for the Baird Cove area on Saturday, 7/20/19 from 11 PM until 6 AM. Construction crews are making improvements in the area and some customers will notice loss of water pressure and/or flow during those hours. Areas affected include customers in the Sunny Ridge Subdivision, Laurel Terrace area (Clarendon, Naples, Wellington, Breckenridge, Stratford, Elkmont, Hillcrest), Old Home Road, Old Weaverville Road, Weaverville Highway between Baird Cove Road and the New Bridge I26 exit, Audubon Drive, Mills Place, Running Ridge Road, and side roads connected to these areas. At the completion of construction customers may notice air in their water lines as well as some discoloration and should let water run clear before washing white laundry or using water for drinking or cooking. Water is and will remain safe to consume and letting water run clear is just a precaution as discoloration is caused by stirred up sediment due to the outage and pressure disruption.
